Tinkergarten babies
Tinkergarten Babies gives 6- to 18-month-olds and their caregivers a safe space to play, explore and grow in the best classroom of all—nature!
What is Tinkergarten Babies?
Tinkergarten Babies is a 45-minute class where caregivers and their littles ages 6 to 18 months old can meet, relax, explore, play and socialize out in nature. The outdoors offers at once a stimulating and calming environment for our youngest explorers, and our sensory-rich curriculum is designed to support the development of a baby’s growing brain!
As always with Tinkergarten, we are truly child led. We provide the framework for play by presenting a series of materials over the course of class and invite littles to engage with those materials at their own pace and in their own way. Leaders model and co-play, but ultimately there is no wrong way to play at Tinkergarten!
But Babies classes are for the caregivers, as well! In a phase that can feel very lonely and isolating, forming connections with other adults, especially those in the same space, is so important! And supporting caregivers, filling their buckets, supports the child, as well. So this is also an opportunity for the grownups to come together, chat, share and just relax.
Class schedule
Tinkergarten Babies classes are 45 minutes long, and the summer season begins Wednesday, June 12. The season runs seven weeks through July 31, skipping the week of July 4th. Enrollment is now open!
Classes will be rescheduled if weather conditions, a leader’s illness or other situation causes an inability to hold class on our end. Families who miss class are able to make up at another class if possible—since there is only one Babies class this summer, families are welcome to join a regular Tinkergarten class. Please contact your leader to arrange any make-ups to ensure they have enough supplies.
